McMinnville, Ore. – Yamhill Community Care (YCCO) is proud to announce that our Health Equity Specialist Shay Mooster has successfully graduated from the 2024 Developing Equity Leadership through Training and Action (DELTA) Program through the Oregon Health Authority. DELTA is a comprehensive leadership initiative aimed at advancing health equity across Oregon’s healthcare and public health systems.
Over the course of 10 months, Mooster participated in educational sessions that addressed key topics such as structural racism, social determinants of health, trauma-informed care, and more. Her final project focused on improving language access through YCCO’s Health Care Interpreter Reimbursement Program and In-Language Provider Proficiency Testing Programs, furthering her commitment to language access and equity in healthcare.
“We are proud of Shay’s dedication, and we congratulate her for completing the DELTA leadership program.” said Seamus McCarthy, CEO of YCCO. “The skills and knowledge she gained will enhance our ongoing efforts to address health disparities and ensure equitable care for all.”
