Yamhill Community Care Partners with Willamette Workforce Partnership to Support Future Behavioral Health Practitioners

McMinnville, Ore. – Yamhill Community Care (YCCO) is pleased to announce the partnership with Willamette Workforce Partnership (WWP) to launch the “Workforce Supports for Yamhill County Future Clinician Behavioral Health Practitioners” Training Program to boost the behavioral health (BH) workforce within Yamhill County.

The primary aim of this partnership is to address the growing need for qualified BH practitioners in our community. By creating valuable traineeship opportunities, the program seeks to:

  • Increase the number of diverse licensed BH workers serving Yamhill County residents.
  • Provide financial support and professional development opportunities to BH students and interns.
  • Support the current BH workforce to meet the unique needs of our community.

“We are thrilled to partner with WWP on this important initiative,” said Seamus McCarthy, President & CEO at YCCO. “By investing in the education and training of BH practitioners, students, and interns, we are taking a crucial step towards improving access to behavioral health services in our community.”

WWP leads local workforce development by identifying local labor market needs/trends/priorities and working with the community to address these issues.

“We believe that this program will not only increase the number of qualified BH practitioners, but also ensure that they represent the diverse community we serve,” added Kim Parker-Llerenas, Executive Director at WWP.
