Yamhill Community Care Ranks Top Performer Among Coordinated Care Organizations in the State, Achieves Full Metrics Payout and Challenge Pool

Excellent results highlight value of local care

McMinnville, Ore. – Yamhill Community Care (YCCO) has achieved 115 percent of its 2023 coordinated care organization (CCO) metrics incentive. It did so by meeting the state benchmark or improvement target for 13 out of 15 incentivized measures and the challenge pool, making it a top performer. YCCO tied for the second-highest percentage of measures met and was one of just five CCOs out of 16 to earn its full incentive.

“We are proud to meet these metrics, demonstrating that community-based CCOs are continuously improving healthcare access and quality,” said Seamus McCarthy, President & CEO. “This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff, partners, and the entire network. We remain steadfast to our mission of improving the health and well-being of everyone in our community.”

As a nonprofit coordinated care organization, YCCO manages the healthcare for Medicaid members, covered under the Oregon Health Plan, in Yamhill County, as well as parts of Washington and Polk Counties.

The official report, published by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), shows how each CCO performed on 2023 metrics. Metrics are set annually by OHA with guidance from health care experts.

YCCO has improved the health outcomes for its members every year since it became a CCO, including meeting the challenge pool measures, which unlock additional dollars.

YCCO reinvests incentive dollars in its provider network, including value-based payments, as well as evidence-based primary prevention and other initiatives aimed at improving community health.
