    The READY! for Kindergarten™ early learning programs brings families and communities the following benefits:

    • Parents and caregivers are better equipped to help babies and young children develop strong brain connections that determine how they will think, learn and grow. Ages 0-5 are the most important brain development years.
    • Children enter kindergarten prepared and eager for school.
    • Children experience social-emotional well-being because they keep pace with their peers.

  • SNACK - Student Nutrition and Activity Clinic for Kids

    The Student Nutrition and Activity Clinic for Kids (SNACK) is a free, 16-week program designed to help kids and teens eat healthier and be more active, especially those who are struggling with health issues, like being overweight, asthma or diabetes.

  • Mothers and Babies

    This class is designed specifically to provide support and encouragement to mothers who are pregnant or have an infant 36 months or younger. In this course each mom will learn ways to think about and interact with their young baby to create an emotionally and physically healthy reality. Topics include pregnancy, baby development, managing stress and mood changes. Mothers receive individual support from their instructor/coach as well as build support with other new moms.

  • Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma: A Workshop for Parents

    This class will offer a general understanding of how traumatic experiences - such as abuse, loss of a loved one, placements in foster care, and witness to domestic violence - impact children of all ages emotionally and behaviorally. Strategies for behavior management and conflict resolution will be discussed.

    The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates participants about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills.

  • Circle of Security Parenting

    The Circle of Security curriculum is a relationship based early intervention program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and children. Decades of university-based research have confirmed that secure children exhibit increased empathy, greater self-esteem, better relationships with parents and peers, enhanced school readiness, and an increased capacity to handle emotions more effectively when compared with children who are not secure.

  • Make Parenting a Pleasure

    Identify your strengths as a parent, take better care of yourself and discover new ways to make parenting easier. Come connect with other parents and together learn how to better understand your child's behavior and ways to discipline that fit your child's age. This group uses activities and video clips with plenty of time to talk with other parents. Child care provided at no cost.
