Yamhill CCO Early Learning Hub requests proposals for projects addressing family stability and school readiness

McMinnville, Ore. — Yamhill Community Care Organization’s Early Learning Hub is pleased to announce a round of grant funding. The funding will support projects designed to create an early childhood system that is aligned, coordinated and family-centered, to prepare children to arrive at kindergarten ready to succeed, and to support families to be healthy, stable and attached.

Up to $50,000 will be available for all the approved projects. Funding will be for one year. Average awards in previous years were between $5,000 and $20,000. Past Early Learning funding has gone to support Reach Out and Read in several clinics, Safe Families through Lutheran Community Services A Family Place, a cohort of Latinx childcare providers through Child Care Resource & Referrals, a literacy project at Yamhill Carlton Child Development Center, and more.

To apply, organizations must be 501(c)3 or public entities. Proposed projects must serve populations 0-8 years of age and their families in Yamhill County, and address at least one objective in the Early Learning Hub Enhanced Strategic Plan, which can be found at http://yamhillcco.org/about-us/early-learning-hub. Programs addressing populations that are historically or systemically underserved and populations that exhibit ethnic, linguistic, economic, academic, or other disparities will be given preference.
Applications can be accessed at https://www.yamhillearlylearning.org/ and are due by midnight on August 31st, 2018. Awards will be announced September 20th 2018. Funding will be reimbursable only, on a quarterly basis.
